Terms of Service
Service Description
North Lawn Care provides residential lawn maintenance services which may include:
- Lawn mowing
- String trimming
- Lawn edging
- Blowing and clearing grass clippings from driveways, sidewalks, patios, and other hard surfaces
Services are provided as a flat-rate package unless otherwise specified.
Service offerings, pricing, and package structure may be modified at any time without prior notice.
Service Area
Services are currently offered within select neighborhoods in and around the 14043 area.
North Lawn Care reserves the right to decline service requests that fall outside of our designated service area or outside of our established service routes.
Service Schedule
North Lawn Care currently operates on a Saturday-only service route.
Customers acknowledge and agree that:
- Services are performed only on Saturdays
- Exact service times cannot be guaranteed
- Service order is determined by route efficiency
Weather conditions, equipment issues, route adjustments, or operational factors may require schedule changes.
If service cannot be performed due to weather or unsafe lawn conditions, service may be rescheduled to the next available service day, or skipped for that week depending on conditions and route capacity.
Weekly Subscription Plan
Customers may enroll in a weekly lawn service subscription for the mowing season. Subscription terms include:
- Recurring lawn maintenance during the active lawn care season
- A 15% discounted rate compared to one-time service pricing
- Automatic recurring billing through our payment processor
Customers may cancel subscription services prior to the next billing cycle. Subscription services are intended for lawns that receive consistent weekly maintenance.
Payment Terms
All payments are processed securely through Square. Payment policies include:
- Payment is required prior to service being performed
- Subscription plans are billed automatically
- One-time services must be paid in full at the time of booking
Failure to complete payment may result in cancellation of scheduled services, suspension or termination of subscription services, or denial of future service requests.
Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for maintaining property conditions that allow safe and efficient lawn maintenance. Prior to scheduled service, customers must:
- Remove toys, hoses, lawn decorations, tools, and other objects from the lawn
- Secure pets indoors or within fenced areas
- Ensure gates are unlocked if lawn access is required
- Clearly mark hidden obstacles such as sprinkler heads, irrigation systems, wires, or stakes
Customers are also responsible for removing pet waste (pet scat) from the lawn prior to service.
Lawn Size Limit
Flat-rate mowing services are intended for typical residential lawns up to approximately 1/4 acre.
Properties exceeding this size may require custom pricing, additional service charges, or may be declined for service. North Lawn Care reserves the right to determine whether a property exceeds standard service parameters.
Property Conditions
The flat-rate service assumes a reasonably maintained lawn. Additional charges, service delays, or refusal of service may occur if:
- Grass height exceeds approximately 8 inches
- The lawn contains excessive debris or hazards
- Property conditions present safety risks
- The lawn has not been maintained for an extended period
Weather Policy
Lawn care services are dependent on safe and suitable weather conditions. Service may be delayed or rescheduled due to:
- Rain or storms
- Flooded or saturated lawns
- Severe weather conditions
When weather interruptions occur, services may be rescheduled or moved to the next available service date.
Access to Property
Customers must ensure that their property is accessible during the scheduled service window. If service cannot be completed due to locked gates, obstructions, unrestrained animals, or unsafe lawn conditions, the service may be skipped and may still be considered a completed service for billing purposes.
Cancellation Policy
Customers may cancel one-time services or subscription services at any time. However:
- Cancellation requests should be submitted prior to the scheduled service date
- Subscription cancellations take effect before the next billing cycle
Late cancellations or cancellations made after the service route has been scheduled may still be charged.
No-Show / Service Refusal Policy
If a property cannot be serviced due to customer-related issues such as blocked access, excessive debris, unsecured pets, or hazardous lawn conditions, the visit may be classified as a no-show or service refusal, and the service may still be billed.
Photo and Video Permission
By receiving services from North Lawn Care, customers grant the Company permission to photograph or record video of the property for business and marketing purposes. These materials may include before-and-after lawn photos, general lawn care footage, and property views showing work in progress.
Photos and video may be used for company website content, social media posts, marketing materials, online advertising, and video platforms such as YouTube.
Yard Sign Permission
Customers receiving services from North Lawn Care grant permission for the temporary placement of a North Lawn Care yard sign on the serviced property for promotional purposes.
Yard signs may be placed near the street or driveway and may remain for a reasonable promotional period unless the customer requests removal. Customers may opt out of yard sign placement at any time by contacting the Company.
Property Damage
North Lawn Care takes reasonable care while performing services. However, the Company is not responsible for damage caused by:
- Hidden or unmarked obstacles
- Unmarked irrigation or sprinkler systems
- Pre-existing property damage
- Unsafe lawn conditions
Service Refusal and Termination
North Lawn Care reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse, cancel, suspend, or terminate services at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to operational limitations, safety concerns, nonpayment, property conditions, or inappropriate customer conduct.
The Company may deny or discontinue service without prior notice when circumstances require.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, North Lawn Care shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or website.
Total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
Website Use
All website content, including text, graphics, logos, and branding, is the property of North Lawn Care. Users may not:
- Copy or redistribute website content
- Attempt to interfere with website functionality
- Use the website for unlawful or fraudulent purposes
Changes to Terms
North Lawn Care reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on thenorthlawncare.com and become effective immediately upon publication.
Continued use of services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
